This morning I've been incorporating suggestions from Mark Pilgrim's excellent series “30 days to a more accessible weblog” into this Radio log. I ran into a few issues:

Day 9: The navigation link macro needs to be incorporated into the home page template, not the main template.

Days 18, 19 and 20: Radio
caches the calendar HTML, which can be an issue if you're looking to see the
effects of your handiwork. Open the Quick Script window (Command-semicolon
or control-semicolon depending on platform) and run 'delete (@weblogData.cache.calendar)' to clear the cache before reloading your desktop home page.

The irony was apparently lost on this poster.

After being sidetracked a bit by July 4 festivities, I cleaned up the getPngHeightWidth code. Also fixed a bug in the myPictures thread script, and rewrote it to be a bit more forgiving. My Pictures will longer delete files it can't recognize. Instead, it moves them into a folder named “Not Upstreamed”.

Download MyPictures PNG support. Unzip, drop both files on Radio and click OK to the dialog boxes. Try them out and let me know if you run into problems (email at left).

Thanks to a script I found in a quick Google search, from an old post on Karl Dubost's weblog, I added PNG support to the My Pictures tool. Now I can post screenshots in Radio without degradation. I'll clean up my work and post it later today.

I also take this opportunity to mention that my Mac has been atypically stable recently: no lookupd crashes, no window server crashes in almost a week. I've taken to no longer turning off my monitor, which avoids a lot of the USB and audio issues that crop up from time to time.

Back to work… T minus 4 hours for meeting.
